Camper Behavior Policy-Please Read
Dear Parents,

Camp Cherith is a Christ centered camp.  As such, we maintain high standards of personal conduct.  In order to provide our campers a safe and supportive environment, we maintain a strict policy prohibiting physical, sexual or verbal abuse, vandalism, weapons and any type of fireworks.  Any weapon, such as a rifle or bow and arrow or carving knife, that a camper brings to camp to be used during an activity period will be locked away during camp except for use in class.  Any camper or staff found to be in violation of any of these policies will be subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of the camp director, up to and including dismissal from camp.  In the event of a camper being dismissed from camp for disciplinary reasons, it will be the responsibility of the parent to provide transportation home from camp.  In such a case, no refund of tuition will be issued.

Campers are expected to respect the person, property (including suitcases), feelings, and rights of others.  We aim to speak and act kindly at all times.  Campers will be held accountable for both how they treat others and how they speak to others.  Profanity is not acceptable at Camp Cherith in the Carolinas.  Insubordination toward a staff member will not be tolerated.

Campers should dress modestly.  T-shirts advertising alcohol or tobacco products or having any message that promotes illicit or illegal activities may not be worn.  All under clothing will be fully and completely covered at all times.

Girls' shorts need to be long enough to fully cover the backside (approximately a 3-inch inseam).  No part of a girl's belly should be exposed at any time, including reaching above the head.  Boys will not wear "low-slung" shorts (shorts that intentionally ride on/below their hips).

Swimsuits are worn at the pool/waterfront only.  Modest swim wear for girls should include full coverage of all female anatomy.  Any swimsuit not meeting modesty standards will be worn with a T-shirt.

Drugs and/or alcohol will not be tolerated during camp.  Any camper found to be in the posession of or using drugs and/or alcohol while at camp will be immediately dismissed from camp.

Any violations of any of the policies specified on this page will be dealt with by the Camp Director and/or the Board of Directors as needed.  The Directors may take any appropriate action needed, up to and including immediate dismissal from camp.
*I have read and am aware of the above policy concerning the behavior of my child while at camp.  By submitting this form, I agree that, should there be any problem with my child that cannot be resolved, I will immediately pick up my child from camp.  In the event my child is dismissed from camp due to disciplinary reasons, I understand that the tuition paid will not be refunded, and it is my responsibility to make arrangements to pick up my child from camp.
