Camper In Leadership Training – C.I.L.T.
The Camp Cherith in the Carolinas, Camper in Leadership Training is a three-year leadership program for high school aged campers. C.I.L.T.s gain all of the necessary skills to be exceptional leaders in the camp setting. Our C.I.L.T.s grow up to become great counselors and then great leaders both at camp and at home. In addition to spending a week at camp each year, C.I.L.T.s attend a weekend retreat in early spring at the Clemson Outdoor Lab.
“Ever since my first year, I’ve looked up to the CILTs as they led songfests and helped out around camp so it was a great opportunity to be able to step into those shoes and become what I had admired for so long. CILT has taught me how to lead and to be a godly example, and has given me lifelong friends. Plus, it makes me so happy to think that someday I’ll be a counselor and lead campers of my own. I can’t wait to go back this summer!”
